"If you are capable of experiencing love, you are capable of experiencing loss".
Grief, bereavement and mourning impact every person at some point in our lives. It is not a definite, but a sign that we are human.
Grief is a normal response to Loss
Grief and bereavement can feel confusing, isolating, and overwhelming — especially when your life suddenly shifts from “before” to “after.” Grief isn’t only sadness. It’s a normal response to loss that can affect your emotions, your body, your thinking, and your behaviour.
What’s the difference between grief and bereavement?
- Grief: your emotional, physical, cognitive, and behavioural response to loss (it can come in waves).
Reactions may include numbness, anxiety, anger, guilt, shock, exhaustion, loneliness, and more.
- Bereavement: the period of time after the loss, when grief continues and evolves as you adjust to new
realities.
Grief Therapy
Therapy is a supportive, structured, and individualized process to help you make space for what happened, understand what it means to you, regulate intense emotions, and work through meaning and adjustment. It isn’t about “getting over it,” and it isn’t one-size-fits-all—it’s tailored to your relationship with what was lost, your circumstances, and your goals
